Welcome, thank you for visiting Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design's website!
Here at Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design you’ll find fabulous fabrics throughout, including Voyage Maison, Harris Tweed, Timorous Beasties, Emma Bridgewater etc. Available to order in a large variety of sizes. Choose from drum shaped, oval shaped and the extra special double sided lampshades.
OUR STORY
After one lampshade making lesson in 2016, I was hooked! By early 2017 “Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design” was born.
Selling at local markets & fairs, Rowan & Fern Lampshade design quickly grew into where we are today.
The next step was to have more online presence with a customer friendly website, and here it is!!
You’ll find us at the Angus Farmers Market, Lowson Church Hall, Forfar, on the second Saturday of every month and throughout the year at Rottal Estate’s Makers Market & Pop Up Cafe, Glen Clova, Angus (check our Facebook page for up to date details).
Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design lampshades are also available at the Milton Haugh Farm Shop, Carmyllie & Peel Farm, Lintrathen, Glen Isla, Angus.
OUR FOUNDER
Welcome to Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design, my name is Karen, and I own Rowan & Fern Lampshade Design, where I make handmade lampshades to order for customers, local markets l attend & also local shops.
Based on the family farm, surrounded by sheep, in rural Angus, Scotland, the lampshade making takes place in my workroom cabin which is a fantastic space to work.
Coming from a background in floristry, lampshade making is certainly helping me to continue my creative side but in a very different direction!
